What did you have for Thanksgiving last year? The year before that? And the year before that? Yeah I thought so. For the same reason my sister and I decided to stage the great Turkey revolt of 1997 and refused to take part in it’s consumption on that holiday. Turkey twice a year since birth can lose its luster and we needed alternatives bad. First we made crab stuffed fish. The following year, honey glazed turkey chops. After that I hit my head really hard and swore I was a vegan so I only had sides….not the point.
Last year we started missing the gobbler yet we were still committed to the cause. So we found a wonderful middle ground in the succulent Turducken. What is a Turducken? It is a semi-boneless turkey stuffed with duck, chicken and layers of stuffing. The 10 lb Cajun sausage Turducken is available for $59.95 at Cajunstuff.com and will feed at least 20 people. This thing is so good, a word of caution; wear your big girl pants. I’d hate for you to lose a button. Cheers
